Kids don’t need another lesson about nature. They Kids don’t need another lesson about nature.
They need to bump into it.🌱 So I bring it into a place where they slow down the most: their bedroom.

An illustration on the wall. A parade of brave little animals, dressed up as joyful nature lovers.

Bees humming along, a guitar somewhere in the rhythm, small hands carrying plants to be planted,
bare feet learning the language of grass.

Nothing loud. Nothing rushed. Just a soft reminder, passing by every day.
Because sometimes, that’s how a seed gets planted.💛

With these illustrations, I want to give children a feeling of comfort, recognition, and positivity.
I do that by sneaking in tiny jokes, showing relatable little moments, and packing every scene with emotion.✨

Because that’s the real power of an illustrator:
making children feel something and getting them excited about reading, one smile at a time 😃

What do you hope your child feels when you read a story together?
Woohoo! De Nationale @voorleesdagen zijn begonnen! Woohoo!

Flexibility as a creative entrepreneur (aka: contr Flexibility as a creative entrepreneur (aka: controlled chaos)⚡️

Flexibility is often talked about as “being easygoing” or “just going with the flow.” For me, it’s something else entirely.

Being flexible with clients doesn’t mean losing myself in endless adjustments. It means listening carefully, understanding how my work will be used, and thinking along about usage and licensing, because I genuinely care about the impact of what I make.
My client knows their world best. I know mine. Somewhere in the middle, good work happens.

Flexibility also shows up in how I divide my time.
I had to learn this one. Creativity doesn’t run on command, it’s closely tied to how you feel.
So when creative thinking is hard, I switch tasks.
When ideas start flowing, I make space for them.
Deadlines still matter, but they don’t have to feel suffocating if you plan with breathing room, keep a clear overview, and actually take care of yourself
(yes, that includes rest, movement, food, and a workspace that doesn’t drain your soul).

As for style: mine isn’t fixed, and I like it that way.
Everything I make is still my style, but within that, I love trying new things. Staying in one place can feel comfortable… maybe a bit too comfortable. And when there’s room, I know it’s time to experiment again.

So no, flexibility doesn’t mean doing everything, for everyone, all the time. For me, it means moving with intention, staying open, staying curious, and staying very much myself. 💚
✨ So glad you’re here. This little feed suddenly g ✨ So glad you’re here.
This little feed suddenly got a bit more crowded, and I’m genuinely grateful you found your way here.🧡

I’m an illustrator who believes that drawings can do more than just look pretty. I make colorful, hand-drawn illustrations that spark wonder, sneak in a little humor, and help kids (and grown-ups too) understand big feelings in simple ways. Kindness, curiosity and a bit of magic are kind of my thing.

Everything starts by hand, because I love work that feels warm, imperfect, and human. Think bold colors, subtle jokes, and visuals that invite you to look twice.

Around here you’ll find:
• behind-the-scenes & process
• inspiration & sketchbook bits
• new work (and works-in-progress)
• webshop news
• ins & outs of children’s illustration and animation

Thanks for being here, feel free to look around, stay curious, and say hi 🧡
